Con este primer boletín, el Programa Venezolano de Educación Acción en Derechos Humanos, Provea, inicia una serie mensual dirigida a informar a nivel nacional y, especialmente, a nivel internacional, sobre la situación de derechos humanos en Venezuela.
Nuestros destinatarios son los actores e instancias dentro y fuera de Venezuela: organizaciones sociales y de derechos humanos, medios de comunicación y periodistas, analistas gubernamentales, no gubernamentales y mecanismos de derechos humanos de las organizaciones multilaterales, entre otros.
Este boletín mantendrá una estructura sencilla: una primera sección estará dedicada a temas globales y estadísticas generales; una segunda sección analizará tópicos específicos de derechos humanos y una tercera sección abordará temas de la coyuntura nacional.
Es así como en esta primera entrega abordaremos en tema de la lucha contra la pobreza, seguido por los efectos de la situación de inseguridad ciudadana en los derechos económicos, sociales y culturales, y finalizaremos con las elecciones presidenciales convocadas para este mes de abril tras la muerte del presidente Chávez.

With this first newsletter, the Venezuelan Program of Education and Action on Human Rights, PROVEA, started a monthly series designed to inform national and especially international level, on the situation of human rights in Venezuela.
Our targetsare the actors and organizations within and outside of Venezuela: social organizations and human rights organizations, media and journalists, government analysts, NGOs and monitors of the human rights mechanisms of multilateral organizations, among others.
This newsletter will keep a simple structure: The first section focuses on the global issues and general statistics, a second section will discuss specific topics of human rights and a third section will address issues of national circumstances.
In this first issuewe will approach the fight against poverty, followed by the effects of the situation of insecurity in the economic, social and cultural rights, and will end with the presidential election called for this April after death of President Chavez.
